Our Commitment to a Lighter Footprint
We are privileged to be guardians of this beautiful corner of Sussex. Our goal is to share it with you while preserving its wild character.
That's why our cabins are built to be as sustainable as possible. By staying with us, you're embracing a simpler, lower-impact way of living.
We believe true luxury is fresh air, silence, and a thriving ecosystem.

What 'Off-Grid' Really Means
-
Power: We use solar panels to provide basic 12v power, enough for the LED lights and to charge your mobile phones. There are no standard 240v sockets, so please leave hairdryers and laptops at home!

-
Water: Your water comes from rainwater. It's perfect for washing up and a quick, simple shower. We recommend bringing your own bottled water for drinking.

-
Toilets: Each cabin has its own private, clean, and easy-to-use compost toilet adjoining the main building. They are odour-free and a key part of our eco-system.
Is This The Right Escape For You?
We want you to have a wonderful stay. To ensure our cabins are the right fit, please read these points carefully:

No Children Under 10:
Due to the open lakes and rustic nature of the site, we cannot accommodate guests under 10.

Mobility is a Must:
The cabins are a 5-minute walk from the car park along an uneven, grassy track that can be very muddy. They are not suitable for guests with mobility problems.

No Cars at Cabins:
To preserve the peace, all cars must be left in our designated car park.

A Quiet Site:
To ensure all guests can enjoy the natural sounds, we operate a strict no loud music policy.

Dogs Welcome:
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept under control due to wildlife and horses.
